Meet Chilli - A Big-Hearted Boy with a Playful Spirit
Chilli is a mature gentleman with a cheeky puppy streak who's ready to find a home where he can truly relax and feel safe. Currently experiencing significant kennel stress, Chilli is looking for a calm and understanding family who can give him the time, space, and love he deserves.
He's the best of both worlds-full of personality, playfulness, and charm, with a strong appreciation for lounging and cuddles. Chilli would love a home where he's welcomed indoors as part of the family, as well as access to a secure yard where he can stretch his legs, chase a toy, or sunbake to his heart's content.
After some recent upheaval, Chilli is feeling a bit anxious about all the change. He's seeking a stable, quiet home with a predictable routine to help him feel secure again. He'll do best in a household where someone is home more often than not, especially during his settling-in period.
Toys are his love language. While he may need a little encouragement at first, once he's in the mood, he'll happily entertain himself. Chew toys and enrichment are a must-he enjoys gnawing and keeping busy. He's also food motivated and already knows several cues including sit, shake, and down, and he was even lured into a roll over during his behaviour assessment. He'll thrive with continued training and mental stimulation.
Chilli's ideal home:
Single-dog home: While generally non-reactive on walks and able to stay calm in proximity to other dogs, Chilli much prefers no dogs invade his personal bubble.
Older, respectful children only (must meet): Chilli can be anxious and excitable-he may unintentionally knock over smaller kids, especially if there's excitement or cuddles happening on the floor.
Calm, routine-based home with plenty of human company and patience during his adjustment phase.
Chilli has so much love to give and is ready to become someone's loyal shadow, silly sidekick, and snuggle buddy. If you're looking for a loving companion with a big heart and lots of personality, Chilli just might be the one for you.
