Coco - A Gentle Soul Seeking a Patient, Loving Home Coco's journey hasn't been easy. She arrived in care fearful and shut down, requiring consistent vet attention and gentle handling. Understandably, she was tense and anxious with close interaction early on.

But with regular, positive sessions, Coco has started to build confidence. She's still cautious around new people and situations, often taking a submissive, appeasing approach with unfamiliar handlers. She thrives when given time, space, and a calm, predictable environment. For Coco, slow and steady really does win the race.

Supportive Environment Recommendations

Set up a small, secure area where Coco can decompress and feel safe during her transition into a new home

Allow plenty of time for her to settle before taking her out or expanding her environment

Introduce new experiences at her pace, giving her the autonomy to come to you when she's ready

Be mindful during physical interaction-offer breaks between pats and handling so Coco can move away and advocate for her own comfort
